FDC Construction engaged Formul8 to support the delivery of signage for BDO’s Melbourne CBD workplace. The project was delivered within a live commercial environment, requiring precision, coordination, and consistency across all signage elements. The scope included stainless steel signage, acrylic signs, and compliant braille and tactile components installed throughout the workplace.
This was not a single application. It was a coordinated signage system delivered across multiple substrates, locations, and compliance requirements, within a live commercial environment.

Our Approach
Stainless Steel Signage
Stainless steel signage was produced and installed to deliver a clean, durable finish suited to high-use areas. Each element was fabricated to specification and installed with consistent alignment, ensuring the signage integrated seamlessly within the overall fitout.
Acrylic Signage
Acrylic signs were used where clarity, legibility, and a lighter visual presence were required. These elements were fabricated and installed to maintain consistency across the workplace while supporting wayfinding and room identification.
Braille and Tactile Signage
Braille and tactile signage was incorporated throughout the workplace to support accessibility and usability. Each sign was produced and installed in line with the project requirements, ensuring a consistent approach across all locations.
Execution
Installation was carefully coordinated within a live workplace environment. Works were sequenced to minimise disruption while ensuring signage was installed accurately, securely, and built to perform in high-use areas.
Our Reflection
Signage is often one of the final elements introduced into a fitout, but it plays a defining role in how a space functions.
In this project, the focus was on execution while ensuring that what was specified was delivered accurately, installed cleanly, and built to perform in high-use areas. T
